Ready to battle his way to the front of the field, TeamHurtByAccident.com Brad Baker heads for I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich., and Round 5 of the AMA Pro Grand National Championship. “I’m hoping that this round at I-96 Speedway will be a good event for us,” says Baker, who pilots the No. 12 Lloyd Brothers Motorsports Ducati. “I raced there last year in the AMA Pro Singles class and took second place. I sure would like to do that again or truth be know, taking the checkered would be the best.” In his rookie year, Baker currently sits in 5th place in the AMA combined Grand National Championship point standings. “We had a tough race two weeks ago at Hagerstown,” explains Baker. “We went out and everything went fine in the first practice. However, when it came time for our heat race, it was not so good and in the Semi things were no better. It appeared to be an electrical problem and we were done for the night. I couldn’t have been much more disappointed. When the crew got back to the shop, they discovered it was a broken throttle position sensor, something that doesn’t brake very often. I know it wasn’t anyone’s fault, but I was still pretty unhappy. Now, I need to make up for some lost time and boy, am I ready.” A standout in AMA Grand National Flat Track, Baker has more than proven himself in just five races. “We are definitely pleased to be part of this program,” says personal injury and accident attorney C.J. Czaia. “We entered into this partnership this season to work with Baker and Lloyd Brothers Motorsports to support the Road Racing World Airfence Fund. Anything that can be done to make motorcycle competition safer is of importance to TeamHurtByAccident.com and utilizing Air Fence at races is a major component in making racing safer for the riders.” “Baker has done an incredible job of moving from the AMA Pro Single class to the Grand National class,” say both David and Michael Lloyd. “He is one of the most determined young talents in the industry and we are pleased to have him on our team.” |

Heading for Round 4 of the AMA Pro Grand National Twins Championship in Hagerstown, Md., rookie Brad Baker is hoping to put his TeamHurtByAccident.com/Lloyd Brothers Motorsports’ Ducati on the podium. “We had a pretty good run last time out at Lima,” says Baker. “We qualified second, won our heat race and took 4th overall. All in all, it wasn’t too bad...not what I wanted…but not as bad as it could have been. I got a good start and was right with the front runners. We had a restart and I got up to second in short order, but unfortunately, I got blocked and ended up by the fence. I fell back to 8th but managed to get back to 4th before the checkered. I’m really ready for a win.”

Ready for action, rookie sensation Brad Baker heads for Lima looking to put his Lloyd Brothers Motorsports/TeamHurtByAccident.com Ducati in the front of the field at Allen County Fairgrounds on June 25 in Lima, Ohio.
“We definitely struggled last time out at Hartford Motor Speedway in Hartford, MI,” says Baker. “It was pretty much a one groove track and if you got out of the groove, you went backwards. We were 3rd fastest in practice and won the Semi race, but things just didn’t work out for us in the Main. We dropped back in points, but hopefully can make up for lost ground this coming weekend.”
Round 3 in the AMA Pro Grand National Twins Class, Baker and the Lloyd Brothers Motorsports crew recently tested at Lima and were extremely pleased with the results.
