A WIN AT ROAD AMERICA!

June 7, 2008: Sixth overall and winner of the BMW GrandSport Twins (GST) division was the No. 59 RightsforBikers.com Ducati PS1000LE ridden by Justin Filice of Daytona Beach, Fla, Armando Ferrer from Caracas, Venezuela and Roldolfo Ramirez of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Filice rode a strong opening stint with his dad Jimmy Filice on the No. 9 Pair-A-Nines Kawasaki on the wet track to put the No. 59 Ducati in the class lead. The father-son duo battled it out the entire first stint.

"I have to give a lot of credit to my dad," Justin Filice said. "He led me around early on and showed me some spots I could use a little more throttle."

More than just a win, Justin and his dad will long remember this event as Justin's first roadrace win ever and Jimmy's first win at Road America.

Armando picked up the pace as the track conditions went from wet to dry and maintained the lead, finishing 18.559 seconds ahead of the second place team. The pair started and finished the race on one set of rain tires.

Finishing 4th in the GST class and 19th overall were riders Jason Edmonds and John Linder. Starting the race on DOT tires in the rain promised to be a challenge for the no. 69 Ducati, unable to make up the time as the track dried.
